Fourth Blog Post

Hi, blog. Long time no see.

UPDATES.

I’m in rehearsals for a show going up later this month. My friend, Ana, and her friend, Grace, wrote a 45-minute lesbian psycho-thriller play and it’s going up at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Grace, who will perform in Scotland, is unable to make it to the NYC run of the show, so I was invited to play her role for the performances at the NYU Meisner Studio’s 2025 Summer Incubator. It’s called Read My Lips

The play has a lot of intimacy, fight, and dance, which are three things that I haven’t done in a production for a while; the last four roles I’ve played (Alison in Fun Home, Alex in Do You Care That I’m Like This?, and Catherine in Lippy) didn’t have any intimacy, fight choreography, or dancing. I’ve been having so much fun in rehearsals, and I feel like I’ve grown so much—as an a person and mover—since the last role I worked on with intimacy and fight choreography (Rosalind in As You Like It) and the last role I worked on with dance (Deb/Margaret/Boy in Fen).

Let me know if you want to come see me be sexy June 20th, 21st, and 22nd and I’ll make sure you get a seat. The incubator performances are for feedback, so we will be working with limited tech elements.

CHEERS.
Happy Pride! I am performing in a night of comedy, music, theater, and more at Dyke Theater Company on June 25th. The event is called “First Timer’s Club,” and, in five short minutes, I’m making my case for why I should be cast as the next Seymour in the Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors.
