Sixth Blog Post
Hey, blog. Happy Saturday. I hope you all are well. I’m sick, but I’m on the mend.
UPDATES.
Read My Lips opened and closed! I was glad to see so many friends and mentors in the audience. It was a quick process—in fact, it was the shortest rehearsal process I’ve ever had: three and a half weeks!
I also performed at Dyke Theater Company’s “First Timer’s Club.” I told Hannah afterwards that I hope to perform with an audience like that one for the rest of my career; they were so enthusiastic and down for anything. I recorded my performance. I wrote the script, transposed and cut the music, created the backing track, drew the signs, and performed the act myself. Hannah was my magician’s assistant. There is another night of “First Timer’s Club,” but I’ll be a part of the audience for this one. Tickets are available here.
LONG-TERM PROJECT IN THE WORKS.
I’m writing a one-person show! I am the producer, playwright, and performer. And it’s a piece of documentary theater. Thank you to my friends and mentors who have offered their help and guidance. Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon.
SEEKING YOUR FEEDBACK.
My friend suggested that I title these blog posts. On the one hand, I find the current labeling system easy, and I also think it’s charming. On the other hand, I think naming my posts would entice more people into reading them. Do you think I should title them?
As always, stay safe and cool. Happy Pride.
