Summer-Into-Fall

Hey, blog. It’s September!

UPDATES.

In my last blog post, I noted that we raised $1,202.60 for The Trevor Project at The Green Room 42, which exceeded our $1,000 goal. As of today, we’ve raised $2,004.32, which is crazy! If you missed some of my posts from earlier this summer, I’ll fill you in: In August, I sang in “The LGBTQ+ Lifeline: A Fundraiser Cabaret” at The Green Room 42, which was produced in light of the current administration’s dissembling of the National LGBTQ+ Youth Suicide Lifeline. All ticket sales and donations are gifted to The Trevor Project, an incredible organization that offers 24/7 crisis care and other life-saving resources to LGBTQ+ youth in the United States.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project; I’m so relieved and glad to see this organization get the support it needs!

I had so much fun working on Martin Crimp’s Attempts on Her Life in John Gould Rubin’s class in directing contemporary theater! I was pleased to meet another Adlerite and get to know some talented actors and directors!

I’ve been submitting some very fun auditions recently. In fact, one script required bubble-gum chewing, which was completely foreign to me, since my mom didn’t allow me to chew gum as a kid. So I learned how to blow bubbles! And thankfully, the scene was short, so I could take three, four, five…, ten…, fifteen takes of the scene to perfect the bubble.

It’s back to school! The four kids that I babysit are awesome. Kid #1 is 7 (almost 8) years old and asked me if I was a boy or a girl yesterday; Kid #2 is 5 and asked me what heaven was; Kids #3 and #4 are 4 and 7, and I taught them how to send “telepathic messages,” so we’re always in touch.

A SHOW RECOMMENDATION.

I’ve seen “The Office” three times, all the way through. I love “The Office.” Naturally, when I saw that they were making a spin-off series, I was critical. Hannah and I have been watching “The Paper” and we are loving it. Sabrina Impacciatore has us cackling. I recommend this show!

Alright, that’s all from me. Bye!
